Louie Avery Stiles was born January 15, 1948, in Sedro-Woolley, WA to Louie and Mary Stiles. He passed away at Elkhorn Healthcare and Rehabiltation in Clancy on February 8, surrounded by family, and his ashes will now join those of his beloved wife Peggy in their garden, as he wished.
Although Louie was adamant that that’s all that would be said about him here, we had to write more about his life. Anyone who knew Louie knew that joining his wife on his terms was his decision and meant everything to him. But his life meant more to others than he wanted to realize.
Louie graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1967, and it was there that he met his beautiful wife Peggy and fell in love. They married in 1970 and remained together until her death two years ago. Louie Joined the Navy in 1967 and was a proud service member until his honorable discharge in1973. Louie served in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic and made his family proud as a Vietnam veteran; he always had a story to tell about his time overseas.
