The Animal Shelter and Care of Jefferson County hosted its third annual Walk and Wag fundraising event on Saturday, June 24.

This year, even with a high chance of stormy weather and gray skies, both vendors and community members — 25 to be exact — showed up to support the project as well as to get out with their furry friends. Attendees participated in three separate walks: a 1-mile, a 5K and a 10K. The walkers were pleased to get out with their pets and they were happy that the weather held so that they could complete the walk.

In addition to the walk there were several vendors, including Paws and Go – a business out of Helena run by Mackenna Boske. Boske provides house call nail trims for pets and she was very glad to be able to work with the shelter and come down to Boulder for the event.
