Panther track teams each land All-Area track kids on the Helena Independent Record list.
Distance runner Renae Parker made the list in both the 1,600 and the 3,200 distance races. She was the District 5B champion 1,600, her time in the top 10 in Missoula was 5:31.06, her time in the District 5B meet where she took first place was 5:37.13. She took third place in the Russ Pilcher meet in the 3,200 with a time of 11:42.78. Running the majority of the year with injuries she made the most of the year showing grit and not giving up. Congratulations Renae.
Jefferson’s Hanna Stevens made the honorable mention team.
Luke Mest made the list for boys in the 3,200 with a time of 10:02.69. He was the Southern B champion and State class B runner up.
Hunter Stevens is on the all-area triple jump list as he went 42’3”, he took fifth place at State in the same event.
Dylan Root was the champion in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.88 and made the list, Dalton Noble added to his first place finishes during the year with a first place finish at State in the shot put with a throw of 50’11”, He leads the list.
The Panther boys team won State for the third time in a row and my bet is they will make it four next year.
