House District (HD) 75 Representative Marta Bertoglio, who represents most of Jefferson County in the Montana State Legislature, has been elected by her fellow Republican lawmakers to serve as a House Majority whip, where she will be responsible for encouraging her fellow Republican representatives to vote in-line with the party’s platform through 2026.

“This’ll be the most significant leadership role I’ve had since I started serving,” said Bertoglio. “The role of a party whip is really to be a communicator, and a mentor. Whipping votes doesn’t mean whipping! It means helping everyone get their priorities figured out, and on board.”

Bertoglio is joined by Representatives Braxton Mitchell, Steve Gist, Jedediah Hinkle, and Amy Regier as fellow House majority whips. Bertoglio, in her third term in the House, will return to the State Administration Committee, where she will serve as vice-chair, and the Local Government and Education Committees.
