The Montana Senate race seems to be a highly emotional campaign. With one candidate an incumbent it should be more fact than emotion, that is do you approve of Tester’s voting record or not.
Tester has a 100 rating from Planned Parenthood. By contrast, other National organizations rate Tester:
• NRA – “F” on Gun Rights
• Eagle Forum – 17%, same as Chuck Schumer
• Heritage Action – lifetime score 8%. Average Senate Democrat 11%
• Americans for Prosperity – 28%
• Council for Citizens Against Government Waste – 16%
• National Taxpayers Union – 20%
How did Tester vote to receive these scores? He voted against an audit of the Federal Reserve; against prohibiting federal funds for labeling speech disinformation or misinformation, or coercing online platforms to censor such speech; and against restrictions of FISA surveillance on U.S. persons. He acted against an override of Biden’s Keystone Pipeline cancellation, and voted against prohibiting funds for programs that allow males to compete in women’s sports.
Tester voted twice against bills stopping sanctuary cities, building a border wall, and funding enhanced border opioid and narcotics detection. He voted seven times against legislation to strengthen border policies and funding. He voted against the nominations of Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, and he twice voted for the impeachment of Donald Trump.
These are the facts of Senator Tester’s record. Let’s start voting the facts.
