Whitehall man charged in drug ring

A Whitehall man was sentenced Sept. 24 to 16 years, 8 months in prison for his part in a drug ring that trafficked methamphetamine and fentanyl in Butte and Helena, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Montana announced. James Andrew Stringari, 52, was found guilty in April of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Co-defendants Juan Felipe Vidrio Fuentes, of Anaheim, Calif., and Janet Dean White, of Butte, were sentenced recently to 30 and 15 years in prison, respectively. Agatha Noriz Carranza of Whitehall was sentenced to three years, and Anthony Wayne Johnson II, of Santa Ana, Calif., received a 20-year sentence. Two others have pleaded guilty and await sentencing.
