Panthers stay strong; football and volleyball cruise

Jefferson High’s fall sports teams enjoyed another great week. The volleyball squad defeated Lone Peak in three sets, 25-10, 25-12 and 25-8. The football team beat Cut Bank 38-21, in its home opener. And Boulder witnessed the first ever home game for Panther flag football.

In their first home match of the season, the volleyball Lady Panthers started out the first set with a 8-0 run, and a couple of aces put them up 13-1. Lone Peak cut the lead to 14-7, but two blocks by Ryian Eveland made it 18-8. Aubrey Rosenbaum’s kill took the score to 23-8 and the Panthers went on to win 25-10. 

The Panthers started the second set with an 8-4 run, and Brooklyn Miller powered over a kill and Maia Walters served an ace to make it 13-6. Cameron Toney slammed over a kill, then blocked a hit for a point to build the lead to 16-8, and the Panthers coasted from there to a 25-12 set.
