The 40th annual Jefferson County Fair brought hundreds of residents and tourists alike to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Aug. 22-25 in Boulder. Impressive displays at all age levels showed off local rodeo, crafting, baking, and dancing skills. Animal husbandry is alive and well across the county, with parades of animals displayed, pranced, prodded, and awarded throughout the week. Attendees had opportunity to gorge on fried doughs, meats, and the like, with the particularly brave heading to inflatable bouncy constructions immediately after. It was altogether an immensely successful weekend.
