Connie Kay Zendron (Richardson), 76, of Boulder passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s hospital in Helena with family by her side on Mar. 27, 2024 due to complications from pneumonia.

Connie was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 1947, in Bozeman to Lloyd and Clara Richardson. She attended school in Boulder, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1966. After graduating high school, she went on to beauty school in Great Falls and became a hairdresser, a profession she worked in throughout much of her life. She also worked at the Montana Developmental Center and the Boulder Medical Clinic. After she retired, Connie volunteered as the Treasurer for the Boulder Basin Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by her husband Ron Zendron; her two stepdaughters Amie Zendron and Angie Zendron; her grandson Lucas Zendron; her siblings Jim Richardson (Lottie) and Shirley Vossler (Lester); her stepsiblings Donna Gilmer, Doug McCauley (Jackie) and Debbie McCauley; her sister-in-law Lisa McCauley; many loving cousins, nephews, nieces; and friends who became family through her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother June Murphy Richardson, her stepbrother Danny McCauley and her brother-in-law Bruce Gilmer.

Connie was part of a bowling league for over four decades until 2020. She loved to bowl and frequently would pile into her van with her teammates to drive across the country to participate in bowling tournaments. She would get together with friends for Bunko and always had presents around her house ready for game night. She enjoyed meeting her friends at the gym and for coffee. She loved her family and friends, and they loved her; she will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held this summer on a date to be announced.

The family would like to thank everyone for checking in on them and for the cards and condolences during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Connie’s name be made to Shriner’s, St. Jude’s, the Wounded Warrior Project, or charity of the donor’s choice.
