On Mar. 6, Youth Dynamics Inc. (YDI) held a groundbreaking ceremony in Boulder for its long anticipated group home construction project. This will be the group’s fourth facility in Boulder, and will allow for an additional eight children to be housed on campus as part of its Alternative Youth Adventures (AYA) program, which provides mental health, education, and housing services to at-risk youth from across the state. The new home will return the AYA campus to a capacity of 32 young people.
“Today’s groundbreaking is not just about laying the foundation for a new building; it’s about laying the groundwork for hope, healing, and brighter futures,” said YDI Chief Executive Dennis Sulser. “This new group home will enable us to better serve our youth, providing them with the privacy and personalized care they deserve.”
YDI says the new construction in Boulder is its first anywhere in more than 40 years of operation; until now, it has used existing buildings YDI intends the facility to be completed and fully operational this coming August. Each facility requires at least six full-time employees, including a facility manager and on-site therapist.
