The department responded to 72 total calls last year, down 21% from 2022, according to a presentation by Records Manager Chick Bruce. The department reported a record 109 incidents in 2021, and 91 in 2022.
The number of fire calls likewise declined, to 8 last year from 22 in 2023. Hazardous conditions calls, which include vehicle incidents and gas line ruptures, fell to 21 from a total of 34 in 2022, according to Bruce.
