Geocaching is the perfect activity to explore the world around you, whether you’re a novice or an expert adventurer. All you need is a method of transportation, some small items — tokens, as they’re called — and a geocaching app. Having family and friends along is great, too.

What is geocaching? It’s essentially a treasure hunt for all ages and abilities, with no boundaries. The term itself refers to geography — the mapping is key — and to stashing things. People everywhere participate, all hiding and seeking: No matter where you live, there are sure to be dozens – if not hundreds – of items cached nearby.
