Boulder business owners charged in chase

A wild backroads chase from Boulder to Basin reportedly led to vehicular ramming, fisticuffs, headbutting, shovel-wielding and an aimed pistol before police were called, resulting in two Main Street business owners and their associates facing felony charges.

Maddog Pizza’s Bruce Giulio, local musician Johnny Holland and Boulder resident Neil Meier have been charged with felony assault with a weapon, while Dave Schell of Dave’s 32 oz. faces felony criminal endangerment, with an arraignment set for Nov. 5.

Early on Oct. 19, Jefferson County dispatch received a 911 call from Morgan Taylor and his friends Carson Butts, Luke Carisch, and Austin Eaton, who had been riding their two side-by-sides along Cataract Creek.
