Football! Jefferson High took on erstwhile down-county rival Whitehall Friday night, and the Panthers put on a clinic for the big home crowd, besting the Trojans, 42-0.

Jefferson wasted no time showing they were ready to play, stopping the Whitehall offense at every turn. Turnovers slowed the action early on, but then the Panthers started clicking. A quarterback keeper by Tyzer Zody put the first TD on the board, and the PAT by Wences Martinez made it 7-0. The Trojans picked up a fumble, but could get nothing started and quickly punted. The Panthers rumbled down the field to the Whitehall 6-yard line, and Zody’s pass to Cooper Mikesell was good for the second touchdown.
