Navigating the Sea of Health Information

Health is a personal and impactful topic. Accurate, trustworthy health information is essential to our health and well-being. Yet we get information from many sources: social media, news outlets, blogs, experts, influencers, even well-meaning friends and family. Some of it is relevant, some of it’s not. How do we decide, amid this sea of information, what’s credible and reliable?

Whenever I stand on a beach, I am astounded by the vastness of the sands, water, and possibility of found treasures. Just like a beach full of sand, the world of health information can be overwhelming. Sifting through what is reputable and what is misinformation or biased can be challenging. Here are my guiding principles for navigating the sea of health information.
