Dollar General is building a Montana City store expected to open by June, bringing America’s leading retailer – and its youth literacy programs – to Jefferson County.
“DG is currently under construction on a new location at 7 Old Montana Highway,” Dollar General Public Relations Specialist Emma Hall said in an email. “At this time, a store opening is slated for spring 2026, but understand that construction progress may alter this date.”
The 8500-square-foot store represents the first Dollar General in Jefferson County and in the greater Helena area. DG expects the new outlet to hire up to 10 employees, with interested individuals advised to visit dollargeneral.com/careers for details and applications.
