Former Panthers, now Bobcats, are national champs

At the end, after a desperate comeback, two blocked kicks and, finally, a fantastical fourth-down touchdown heave in overtime, the Montana State Bobcats swarmed the field. They hugged, danced and screamed at each other, and waved to jubilant family and friends in the stands at Nashville’s FirstBank Stadium.

“Congratulations to the Montana State Bobcats on winning the NCAA Division 1 football championship!” declared the PA announcer. 

Wow. And there, in the midst of this epic craziness, sporting their new “national champion” t-shirts and caps, were Jefferson High grads Dalton Noble and Luke Oxarart.
