Jefferson County’s first animal care facility invites the community to mark its grand opening with an all-day event later this month, welcoming treat vendors, pet wellness demonstrations, and food trucks to support animal lovers taking to the streets to celebrate their furry companions.
On Saturday, June 28, Animal Shelter and Care of Jefferson County (AS&C) will open its doors to host its annual Walk & Wag, with participants leading their pets on a walk, jog, or “wag” on our 1-mile, 5K, or 10K courses through Boulder. The event aims to unite animal lovers, fitness enthusiasts, and a diverse group of supporters for a day of activity and compassionate care.
Whether you have a four-legged friend or just cherish the company of animals, there’s a place for everyone at this lively gathering. The event will include a wellness clinic, where pet care experts will offer health tips and services, in addition to vendors presenting pet accessories and treats.
