Boulder revitalization project finds local leaders

Some two dozen Boulder residents gathered last Wednesday at a downtown cafe to learn about and help drive town renewal under the leadership of Community Heart & Soul, with several accepting leadership roles in the project.

The Vermont-based organization aims to encourage revitalization led by those who work, play, and live in the Jefferson County seat. In this phase of the initiative, Samantha Dewit, local Community Heart & Soul coordinator, hopes to find volunteers to learn what residents love about Boulder, which project leaders will then use to shape community improvements. 

Southwest Montana Youth Partners’ Executive Director Rochelle Hesford kicked off the event at the Sweet Spot (formerly the Elkhorn Bistro) by talking about how she came to love living in Boulder, laying out the theme for the night.
