What is truth?

In the Gospel of John, Jesus is brought before Pontius Pilate on Good Friday before being condemned to death, and testifies: “For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice.”

To which Pilate responds, “What is truth?”

It’s a question we often face today in our truth-challenged world. With all that is thrown at us in social media, news and entertainment, how do we know what’s true? Do you believe what you see on the TV news, or in major print sources like The New York Times and Washington Post? What about The Monitor?
