Growing pains: Jefferson City considers future expansion

Jefferson City is growing and forestalling growing pains was the focus when the county commission considered a subdivision application last week.

Songbird Meadows minor subdivision received preliminary plat approval after discussion of the implications for the future of the area.

The five-lot residential development, which abuts Depot Road east of the Meadowlark Ridge subdivision, will partially be accessed via extensions of Alta and Ashbrook roads.
