Boulder voters choose mayor who promises changes

After being elected November 7 by more than a two to one margin over incumbent Boulder Mayor Gary Craft, Rusty Giulio says he is ready to make changes when he takes office in January.

In campaign materials, Giulio told voters he was ready to listen to citizen concerns. He also said Boulder needed to “change the way we have been doing business to accommodate our vision to make Boulder’s future brighter.”

He was critical of law enforcement, the city office, the city attorney, and policies on transparency as well as zoning. “The current administration seems to be out of touch with the community,” he stated.After the election, he said he had no additional comment at this time.
