Cross county football win goes to Whitehall

RELATED

The Panther football team suffered its second loss of the season Friday night at the hands of the Whitehall Trojans, 29-14. Leading the southern division with a perfect 5-0 league record and 7-0 overall, the Trojans are sure to make the post-season.

After that the picture is less certain. Four teams from the division will move into post-season play, so the final remaining games will be big for the Panthers, who are now 3-2 in league play, 5-2 overall. That puts them behind Manhattan, which holds a 4-1, 5-1 record, its only loss to the Panthers, and Big Timber with a 3-2, 4-3 record.

Right after the Panthers comes Townsend at 2-3, 2-4, followed by Columbus at 2-3, 2-4, Three Forks at 1-4, 2-4 and Red Lodge 0-5, 0-6.
