The following cases were heard in district court in Boulder August 23.
Brandon Robles was sentenced for setting car fires and burglarizing homes in northern Jefferson County in 2015. Judge Luke Berger handed down ten-year terms, all suspended, on two burglary counts and a five-year prison term on felony criminal mischief. Robles must repay his victims more than $248,300, pay a ten percent handling fee for record-keeping on those payments, undergo a chemical dependency evaluation at his own expense, obtain his high school equivalency degree within three years and have no contact with victims or witnesses. He is also barred from buying anything over $300 without court permission.
Miles B. Baughman of East Helena appeared in court on a felony DUI charge and a charge of violating the open container law. Law enforcement officials allege he was drunk May 24 and passed out behind the wheel at Leslie and Main in Boulder. He entered a plea of not guilty and was released on $1360 bond with conditions.
