Rock concert venue water supply an issue

Although the Jefferson County Commission approved a large group function permit July 11 for the August 10-13 Rockin’ the Rivers outdoor concert, concert backers have issues to address before the first drumbeat, said county officials. 

Sanitarian Megan Bullock said she discovered water supply pipes were broken when she inspected during the Headwaters Country Jam concert at the same location. 

A “non-food grade hose” running from a barn was being used to provide fresh water to food vendors, she said. “In this day and age, the risk of somebody contaminating it is huge,” said Bullock.
