City public works staff honored

The City of Boulder was presented last week with the Montana Water Environment Association’s 2017 Small System Award for its new wastewater treatment facility. 

Morrison-Maierle engineering firm nominated the city for the award, citing the efforts of Public Works Director Dennis Wortman and Assistant Public Works Director Parry Lepley. 

“Mr. Wortman and Mr. Lepley have been able to operate the facility substantially below the projected operating costs by managing blower operation time and minimizing staffing requirements,” said the nomination letter.
