Imagine all the fun you can have at Clancy’s Day CLANCY CELEBRATION SET FOR JUNE 10

RELATED

Picture your day starting with a hot pancake breakfast with friends and neighbors, prepared by the local 4-H club. From there you mosey over to the church for a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll as you peruse the wares of vendors lining the street. Feel the need to burn off the breakfast calories? There’s a Fun Run starting soon – jump right in. Or if you’d rather, you could look through the bag of books you bought for $2 at the Clancy Book Cellar while being entertained by local musicians, historians and heritage demonstrators.

A myriad of carnival games is beckoning the youngsters to the fire hall lawn. There are also contests for the rest of the crowd – log sawing, nail pounding, wheelchair races, hatchet throwing, baseball throw and the opportunity to dunk your favorite Clancy teacher. There goes the fire hall siren – time for the parade to begin.

All that entertainment makes you hungry enough to partake in a choice of burgers, hot dogs, tacos in a bag and more. You can take in the displays by FWP, St. Peter’s Hospital, Jefferson County Weed Department and others or cheer for the participants in the races. Whew! That’s been a day!
