Concerned for millions of girls worldwide who do not have access to feminine sanitary supplies, a group of Boulder volunteers are working to make their world better. The lack of supplies leads to girls across the globe missing school every month, in some cases dooming them to a life of continuing poverty, said the group. 

That is the problem the international group, Days for Girls, aims to solve by providing sustainable feminine hygiene solutions and health education. Marilyn Craft is heading up the local effort. 

“I heard about this through United Methodist Women’s program on maternal and child health. I told our local UMW group about it and every- one was very enthusiastic about helping. We opened it up to community volunteers as well.” Craft said she is pleased with the community response. Boulder volunteers met at the Methodist Community Center this spring.
