The Boulder junior high wrestling team concluded its season March 7 at the Anaconda Middle School Mixer. Competing for Boulder were John Price and Cole Jeske at 70 pounds, Jeyden Sullivan at 105 pounds, Hunter Steele at 125 pounds and Matt Travis at 170 pounds. Only one round was wrestled. Boulder ended the season on a high note as four out of five wrestlers won their final match. Price won by a 5-3 decision while Jeske, Sullivan and Travis stapled their opponents. “The wrestlers competed in several matches over the past month and they showed a lot of improvement over the season,” said Coach Troy Humphrey. Eighth grader Caleb Allen led the junior high wrestlers with a very respectable 11-2 record for the season. Next up were sixth grader Jeyden Sullivan at 7-3 and eighth grader Matt Travis at 11-8. Everyone on the team recorded multiple victories with the majority being pins.
