Volunteers install dog waste bins

Just in time for Halloween, a spirit was spotted at the Boulder cemetery. It wasn’t a scary spirit, though. It was the spirit of community cooperation and beautification.

A project backed by the Animal Shelter & Care Committee and the Boulder Area Chamber of Commerce resulted in the placement of dog waste stations in the city’s parks and cemetery.

“More and more Boulder residents attending community events with their dogs, taking them on their walks around town and through the Boulder Cemetery, has created an issue in the parks and at the cemetery,” said AS&CC organizer Cheryl Haasakker.
