Rental fees and policies for Jefferson County Recreation Park will remain unchanged for now, the Fair Board decided at its November 20 meeting.
“I’d be fine with us keeping this [fee schedule] one more year,” board chair Terry Minow said to fellow board members.
Prior to the decision, board members discussed adding cleaning costs to volunteer hall’s rental fees and doing away with the reservation deposit.
Board member Marilyn McCauley presented an accounting of rental revenue and expenses for the past two fiscal years, showing Recreation Park to be in good fiscal health.
“We’re OK” if current rates remain, she told the other board members.
The board also discussed how to make the under-utilized red barn more useful to the public, and whether to consider hiring a secretary in the future.
