Boulder’s ongoing Main Street makeover

They say when a door closes, a window opens, which seems an apt description of commerce on Boulder’s Main Street lately.

Just over a week after the dentist’s office at 211 North Main shut its doors, the Bull Mountain Soda Fountain, offering ice cream, candy, shakes, pizza, and more, is set to open one block south this Friday.

The old-fashioned soda shop passed its health inspection last week and plans a grand opening May 2, with owner Amber Giulio aiming to fulfill the vision of former owners Stu and Lisa Goodner, who also ran the arts & crafts shop Boulder Stitch & Stone next door.
