Greetings, Boulder Elementary School community! As back to school rolls around we have many updates to announce. Boulder Elementary is excited to welcome Devyn Ottman to our staff. Devyn will be teaching in the middle school. We are also welcoming Colleen Murphy to our staff as our behavior support specialist. Colleen had been working in the school based mental health CSCT program. We will welcome a new CSCT team from Intermountain. Nichole Sullivan will be transitioning from classroom teacher to assistant principal/reading coach.
The summer custodial staff has been hard at work preparing the school for our students and staff. Installation of a security camera to the secure front door will be one of the many updates to the school facility. LED lighting has been added in the gym, the outdoor areas, and many of the classrooms. The final LED lighting updates will occur throughout the school year. Currently, we are working on securing grants to add solar panels to the building to increase energy efficiency. Work has begun on the adjacent property to transform the area into an outdoor classroom as well as an additional space for our 21st learning program and classroom teachers.
The summer program was a great success. Kudos to Rochelle Hesford and her amazing staff. As a result of their hard work and planning the students had many outstanding learning opportunities throughout the summer. CC French and her summer volunteers worked hard to provide healthy meals for our summer students.
