State official: Rumored sale of MDC absolutely not true

A rumor shared at the June 7 Boulder Transition Advisory Committee that the Montana Developmental Center is for sale is not true, State Budget Director Dan Villa Friday.

Contacted by the Monitor for a response to the assertion, Villa was blunt. “Absolutely not true. Period,” he said.

Some community members, after hearing the assertion, expressed frustration that the State had not told the community of the sale plans. But according to Villa, there is nothing to tell.
