Jefferson High tennis finally got in some competition this week, but track and golf are still awaiting the cooperation of Mother Nature.

The JHS tennis team played Three Forks and Lone Peak last week with scores not kept, just good to get in some action. Friday and Saturday the team traveled to Great Falls for a couple of windy days of tennis. Snow fell on Friday morning but in Great Falls it dried up in time to get in matches.

JHS #1 singles player Renee Yu lost only one match out of five she played in Great Falls. Her wins came largely on very lopsided scores. She beat Emily Clotfelter of Fairfield 8-2, beat Jamie Roth of Chinook 8-2, beat Kylie Osltler of Whitehall 8-1, and beat Jeff Barnett of Townsend 8-4 before losing to Michal Gunderson of Choteau 0-8.
