What took many hours of preparation was all over within five minutes of the sounding of the Jefferson City VFD fire engine siren over the weekend.
The annual JCVFD Easter egg hunt attracted more than 200 grandparents, parents and children to enjoy the day. Once the children collected the 768 eggs, they carried them into the community center to receive the gifts marked on the eggs.
Marg and Lois Reilly and Lois’s daughters Nancy Jones, Donna Owens and Rose Hagerty were on hand as they have been for many years to make sure the event went smoothly.
The Jefferson City Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the fire department, is made possible by the hard work and contributions of many in the community.
