Golden Sunlight Mine gets high marks from commission

All three Jefferson County Commissioners had glowing words for the Golden Sunlight Mine in Whitehall when the Corporate Director for Social Responsibility for U.S. Operations of Barrick Gold stopped in last week.

“Mostly my job is to see that we’re being a good and active neighbor,” Rebecca Darling told the commissioners April 10.

In the area for several days last week, Darling met with mine staff, community members and area government agencies as well as leaders of some area non-profit groups.
