Officials submit proposal to bring Cowboy Hall of Fame

Jefferson County made a pitch last week to the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame (MCHF) and Western Heritage Center (WHC), hoping to attract the organization to Boulder.

“Jefferson County and the City of Boulder are prepared to move forward quickly to make the vision of a Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center become a reality,” said a March 23 proposal letter signed by County Commissioner Cory Kirsch and City Mayor Rusty Giulio.

Among selling points pushed in the letter is Boulder’s location amid multiple highly populated areas, its accessibility via I-15 and nearby I-90, its placement on a Yellowstone to Glacier route, and the high traffic volumes through the area.
