Korrene Sue Livesay, 68, of Clancy, Montana, passed away from cancer on February 10, 2018.

Korrene was born June 26, 1949 in Havre, Montana, to Elizabeth and Fayette Maffit. There she attended grade school, high school, and received her bachelor’s in education from Northern. While still in school she married Richard Livesay.

She started her teaching career at Northern in speed reading and then moved to elementary education in Nashua, Montana. Korrene and Richard moved to Helena where she continued her 45 year working career.

Korrene’s hobbies included: Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, car shows with her Corvette, reading, genealogy research, computer programming, antiques, hiking around the family cabins, fishing, coin collecting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Korrene is survived by her husband Richard; her children Corey (Katrina) Livesay and Carrie (Kevin) Corner; brother Robert (JoAnn) Maffit; and grandchildren: Macy, Gracie, Sophie, Chloey Livesay, and Dodson, Annabelle and Jackson Corner.

A funeral service celebrating Korrene’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 23 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, 3580 N. Benton Ave. in Helena, with a reception to follow in the social hall of the church. Burial will follow the reception at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Harrison.
