Overtime win over Big Timber caps comeback at District 5B

It took an overtime win and victories in three of four games at the District 5B Basketball Tournament in Belgrade for the JHS Lady Panthers to advance to the divisional. Some exciting play kept Panther fans on the edge of their seats and pressed the measure of the hard-working Panthers.

The divisional tournament, which opens in Billings on March 1, will find the Panthers playing Red Lodge at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Red Lodge finished first in District 4B, thanks to a single point overtime win over Roundup. The winner of that first round game will next play either Townsend or Colstrip, the first place team out of 3B, compliments of a two point overtime win against St. Labre.
