Evealon “Lee” Hiltz, a longtime resident of Boulder, passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family and the love of her many extended family and friends.
Lee and Chris met while in the Army in Alabama and shared 57 years together. In addition to raising their two children she had a meaningful career as a nurse and she loved her time as a volunteer “Grandma” at Boulder Elementary School. She is still affectionately known as Grandma Lee all around town.
Lee was a member of Grace Community Fellowship Church, Eastern Star and The Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her husband Chris; sister Pat Seegers; son Richard Hiltz and daughter Sandra Hare; her grandchildren Tyler, Camryn, Katelyn and Richard; and many other relatives and close friends. Lee was deeply loved, and we will miss her always.
A celebration of her life will be planned for a later date.
