Panthers fall to talented Three Forks teams

The Jefferson High Panther basketball teams found the going tough as they played their final games of 2017 at Three Forks December 21.

The Lady Panthers started the night against the Lady Wolves, a team that took second at State last year and returned all of their players for this year.

Ellie Evertz put the first point on the board with a free throw, Leah Vossler followed with a two pointer, and the Panthers took an 8-3 lead with a three by Aubrey McMaster and a two by Callie Warfle. The tide turned, though, for the remainder of the quarter. The next nine points went to the Wolves to give them a 12-8 lead before McMaster blocked a Three Forks shot and followed with a three pointer to pull the Panthers within one, 12-11, Wolves, at the end of one.
