Inmate escapes Jefferson County jail late Friday

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office asked Boulder residents to lock their doors and stay inside as they searched for an inmate who escaped the Jefferson County Detention Center late Friday.

Tory Vincent Gee escaped at 10:25 p.m. Friday, according to a 12:10 a.m. post to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page that followed CodeRED emergency notifications sent moments before midnight.

Gee was said to be “wearing a white t-shirt and orange pants, and has a clean shaven head and face,” the Facebook post states. Radio traffic suggested that he was also barefoot.
