Veterans Park is “inadequate to serve the community’s needs,” the fund application observed. The original plan of work called for an information kiosk, entertainment stand, lighting and electrical upgrades, public restroom upgrades, and painting the outside of the City Hall building. A revised plan includes the renovation and upgrade of City Hall itself. The enlarged project will add square footage to the building, upgrade the restrooms, and improve the building’s appearance. It also will include historic streetlights for Main Street, originally included in Project 6. An RFP, including items in Project 6, is anticipated sometime this summer.
