The Jefferson County fair board seeks volunteers for the 2019 Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo from Aug. 21 to Aug. 25 at the Recreation Park south of Boulder.
There are many ways to help at the fair, including taking entries, helping judges, running the carousel, displaying exhibits or taking admission at the barn dance. The board also need groups to do breakfast Saturday morning and sell refreshments at the barn dance Saturday night. Another way to up the fun factor is to enter an exhibit. There is no fee (except for the kids’ horse show) and it’s easy to enter. Judging is done by merit and every exhibit receives a ribbon, with special ribbons receiving a cash prize. Prize sponsors enable the board to award many special prizes in memory of dedicated fair supporters.
