Old-timey ‘Clancy Days’ still fresh after 50 years

The annual “Clancy Days” is all about heritage and tradition, but that doesn’t prevent new events from being added.

New for this year’s celebration — set for June 8 — are a cowboy poetry session and the inclusion of Larry Feight of Whitehall, who will join the parade with his wagon and mules and give rides, organizer Mickey Senechal said by email.

And three events added last year — axe throwing, corn hole and a wife-carrying race — proved so popular that they are returning, she wrote.
