Montana Democrats, moderates have formed a ‘delusions caucus’

Rep. Greg DeVries.

Our dear governor aspires to the presidency and is touting his ability to work across the aisle with a Republican controlled House and Senate to pass Democrat priorities. With the “solutions caucus” acting as if they are in heat, this is about as challenging as falling over and hitting the ground. “Gravity and I hashed through our differences, and we’ve settled on an outcome!”

There were no real solutions, just two parties, the Democrats and the moderates, falling….in love. Together, they are the delusions caucus. The offspring of their tryst will be with our pocketbooks for years to come. Every piece of legislation, good or bad, that passed out of the session did so with the Republican stamp of approval. Every committee was majority Republican. No bill passed either chamber without Republican support. The Republican caucus held all the cards, but the delusion caucus played a royal flush on Montana and gave the governor the win. Without their grand solution, the governor only held a veto card. It is delusional to think that working out a deal with a Democrat governor to pass bills which spend more money and make government bigger is offering a Republican compromise or solution. It is merely acquiescing to the socialistic mindset of the Democratic Party. It is leftist gluttony, not a Republican solution.

At this point in history the Democrat Party is driving so hard left, that soon they will disappear over the horizon into insanity. These are not your Reagan-era Democrats. Thus, between consistent Republicans and consistent Democrats, there is an ideological chasm not easily crossed.
