This spring continues to provide challenges for the Jefferson High School track, golf and tennis teams, but they’ve been able to get in some competition over the past couple of weeks. The month of May will be busy with competitions including district, divisional and state meets. It looks like we might get a little bit of spring weather so that the JHS spring sports can get in some competition. It should be a whirlwind finish to the spring sports season.
Recently, the District Music Festival was held in Butte and 33 JHS students advanced to the State Music Festival to be held Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4, in Helena. There were a number of individual qualifiers as well as large groups.
On April 9, the high school hosted JHS Days for all eighth graders. These future Panthers toured the school and classes, had a presentation from all club advisors, and enjoyed lunch provided by the Student Council. This was a great opportunity for all future students to see all the programs available at JHS. A large number of future Panthers and parents attended.
