‘Arduous’ but necessary inventory continues at museum

Staff and volunteers continue to inventory the collections at the Jefferson County Museum in Clancy, which has been closed for the effort since last Dec. 15.

So far more than 500 documents and artifacts have been inventoried in what Collection Committee Chair and board trustee Jamie Guenther said was “a painstakingly arduous project” that’s “an absolute necessity.”

“It’ll pay huge dividends in the long run by allowing the museum to provide information about our collection holdings to the public and other museums,” she said.
