Why I voted for DeVries

Over the last few weeks, you have had several letters from folks who apparently can’t imagine how anyone could be so ignorant as to vote for Greg DeVries.

I confess to being one of the “deplorables” who did so, and I would like to explain why.

I try to be a reasonably informed voter, and it was obvious from the start that Mr. DeVries held some views many would consider radical. It was also obvious that his opponent was a bright and capable person. There was a time when she would have been assured of my vote.
